Apple Store Comes to Brisbane City
As previously reported in this blog 20 months ago, an Apple Store is coming to the Brisbane City. It will be in MacArthur Chambers, the site of Douglas MacArthur's headquarters, and most recently a Dymocks bookstore.

Finally, an Apple Store for downtown Brisbane?
There have been a number of reports that Apple will open an Apple store in MacArthur Chambers (corner of Queen St and Edward St) in Brisbane City. About time! Rumours that Apple will have a store in the Valley appear to be incorrect.

No Apple Store for M&A
Is Laing O'Rourke misleading people, or just careless? Last month, to much fanfare, it released a press release to report that it has signed up a two level Apple store at its McLachlan & Ann (M&A) building in the Valley. See Press Release and prior post.
But it is not an Apple store, but an Apple reseller. Today's Courier Mail has an advertorial that refers to a "US-based Apple reseller." There is a big difference between an Apple Store and an Apple reseller. Myer, JB HiFi and Kmart are Apple resellers. And there already is an Apple reseller just around the corner (Mac1 at James Street).
So no Apple Store for M&A, just a U.S. electronics store. So that decreases not increases the appeal of M&A.

Where will the next Apple Store be in Brisbane?
An Apple Store was tipped for Macarthur Chambers on Queen Street, but it has not arrived. A story in Brisbane Times suggests it has been delayed due to a contractor going bust.
Laing O'Rourke reports that it has signed up a two level Apple store at its McLachlan & Ann (M&A) building in the Valley. See Press Release.
The Apple Press Release website had no news last time I looked, but the Apple job website says that there will be a new store in Brisbane.
I suspect it will be a positive influence to have an Apple Store nearby.
